MEASURING GUIDE

Key notes for Measuring a Waistcoat
1. Grab a friend to help, it’s much easier (especially if you have a drink in hand). A second pair of hands makes for a more accurate fit.
2. Wear your morning suit trousers and your suit shirt when taking measurements to ensure everything fits perfectly on the day.
3. Measure in Inches.
P.s you will need a measuring tape.
1) How to take a
Front Torso Measurement
1. Make sure your shirt collar is fastened and your morning suit trousers are on. Stand upright.
2. Find where your collar meets your shoulder line/ trap muscle... Have your friend measure from this point and let the tape drop to below the bottom waistband line of your morning suit trousers.

2) How to take a
Centre Back Measurement
1. Make sure your shirt collar is fastened and your morning suit trousers are on. Stand upright.
2. Have your friend measure from the nape of you shirt collar down your centre back, measure to the bottom waistband line of your morning suit trousers.
3) How to take a
Chest Measurement
1. Stand upright, and raise your arms so your friend (or you) can wrap the tape measure around your chest.
2. Keep your arms up. Make sure the tape measure is around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level and positioned high under your armpits.
3. Once the tape is in place, relax your arms down by your sides. Make sure the tape measure sits comfortably around the fullest part of your chest.
4. It should fit close to your body without being tight. Don't suck in your stomach! Breathe normally for an accurate measurement.

4) How to take a
1/2 Shoulder Measurement
1. Make sure your shirt collar is properly buttoned. Stand upright, with your arms relaxed by your sides.
2. Find the outer point of your shoulder where the bone ends. Position the measuring tape at this tip and extend it inward toward the base of your shirt collar. It is important that the tape is aligned with your collar.
3. Keep the tape flat and even as you measure, following the natural contour of your upper back. Make sure it doesn’t droop, twist, or hang loosely.
5) How to take a
Waist Measurement
1. Stand tall with your arms relaxed at your sides. Wrap a measuring tape around your natural waistline, typically found just below your belly button. You can do this yourself or have a friend to help.
3. Check that the tape sits evenly around your waist. It should fit close to your body without being tight. Don't suck in your stomach! Breathe normally for an accurate measurement.
